Dear Robert and Karla:
I participated in Chris Howard's June 25 Tour.
And the group was invited to your house for dinner.
Thank you for your gracious hospitality at your lovely home on June 28.
I had a delightful time.
It was a pleasure to meet you both, your family and animals.
I enjoyed your country. I will definitely be living in Costa Rica part time within the next 2 years.
Thus, I would like to keep in contact you both, if you do not mind.
Pura Vida,
Lanna Mingo |

My wife, Pat, and I first visited Los Jardines in January of 2007 as part of a real-estate tour organized jointly by Christopher Howard and the Association of Residents of Costa Rica. That was the first time we met Brian Timmons and Rudy Matthews. Of all the beautiful homes and condos we saw over that two-day period, we were most impressed with Los Jardines. It was our good luck to be able to return to Costa Rica for two weeks in July of that same year and to be able to rent a unit in Los Jardines. Our stay there was simply wonderful. The unit itself was roomy, well-designed, at the high end of North American standards, nicely furnished and with beautiful, solid built-in cabinets in the living room, kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. The grounds of the development are resort-like; very well maintained and simply lush with trees, plants and flowers. Pat and I swam in both of the pristine swimming pools and grilled on the built-in BBQ in one of the ranchos on the property. The on-site management and maintenance provided by Brian and his partner, Paul LeDuc, make a huge, positive difference. Everything works very smoothly. Meeting and spending time with the other residents of Los Jardines was also one of the huge plus points. We very much enjoyed our leisurely times on our terrace, sharing a coffee, a drink or a cigar with a passing resident. Wednesday evenings were reserved for playing Texas Hold’em in the large rancho. 6-10 residents gather each Wednesday evening for a few hours of socializing and card-playing. It’s only $20 per player so nobody gets hurt and even the “big winner” does not walk home rich; happy maybe, but not rich!! Most importantly, I heard not one complaint from any resident. Each resident expressed the conviction that buying at Los Jardines was a great decision and that the lifestyle they enjoyed was all they had hoped for and more. The support provided by Brian, Paul and Rudy is simply first class; you can’t over estimate the value of trust when you are choosing a place to live. Pat and I simply fell in love with Los Jardines. We wanted very much to buy a unit there but we need three-bedrooms. When we received the open letter to prospective buyers in October, we were thrilled and seized the opportunity to become one of the very first to put in a reservation and wire our earnest money. We hope you will come visit us in building 11A, ground (middle) level, left side in April 2010, when we move in! In the meantime, feel free to email me at perezm@cod.edu or call me at 630-942-2316 between 7:00am and 3:30pm M-F, Central Time if you want to hear more about Los Jardines and buying at El Dorado. Note: I am not a paid consultant or employee of El Dorado, just an excited buyer glad to share the good news. |

Good Day Mr. Shannon
My name is Desiree Smith, my husband
currently live in Bermuda and we are thinking of moving
to Costa Rica. We saw your web site and became
interested in some of the properties on it. Carla
contacted us immediately and since then has taken good
care of us. We felt safe with her, what wonderful
services you have. She really took a personal interest
in our needs and took care on them 100%. We never felt
pressured or obligated to buy and are still now
following up on some of our interest. We will highly
recommend our friends to Carla at Costa Rica
retirement. We have 12 year girl and needed to see the
different schools available and Carla again took care of
that. We are thankful to have meet Carla and are very
grateful for her care and interest us and our brief
visit to Costa Rica.
It is our hope real soon to finalize a
purchase through Carla. Many thanks again for having
such caring staff. |

Hola!
Carol,
It was such a great pleasure to have met you. You are
such a great host. Robert should be very proud to have
you on his staff. I am looking forward to us dealing
with you and Robert in the future. I also look forward
to being your neighbor someday & hope that you both will
invite me into your circle of friends.
I got back home last night just fine. The only problem I
had coming back was delay @ San Jose of 30 minutes
(weather) & @ Miami of 20.
Your professionalism was great. You
really do know Costa Rica & the areas that I was
interested in very well & cut my search to where and
what i wanted to the best degree that anyone could have
possibly done. I gave you my criteria for location and &
price range and you knew exactly where and what to show
me. You made our time very productive & I appreciate
that so much, You are really a great person.
Thank you so much for such a great time & helping me to
find my little piece of Paradise for my retirement
years. I would never had thought I would find it in
Costa Rica after I have spent 5 years looking in Mexico
as to what is referred to as the Paradise place, Puerto
Vallarta, Mexico. I am so glad that I started studying
all aspects of Costa Rica very extensively for the last
5 months.
Hope you have a great day!
Regards,

Robert and Carla,
Thank you so much for arranging such a wonderful tour
for us. We were able to see many properties and the
different areas along the central to southern coast.
Everybody that you put us in touch with were excellent,
very informative and friendly. We loved the country and
the people. It was beautiful. We ended up signing
contracts on two properties. Thank you again for your
help. We can't wait to go back.
Your friends,
Karen and Rob Abcug |

Dear Robert,
Tim and I want to thank you and your team for all your
help in our plans for relocation to Costa Rica. After
finding your website in Christopher Howard's book and
emailing you, you immediately responded, making us feel
like you really cared what happened to us. You arranged
for Rudy Matthews to pick us up at our hotel at the
beginning of our stay, and took the time to invite us to
your home to discuss our needs and preferences. We feel
that you and Rudy really listened, because Rudy showed
us a variety of property types to help us with a
"process of elimination" on our purchase.
You and your lovely wife, Karla made arrangements for
our stay at the beautiful Crystal Balena resort in
Uvita. We were met there by your team, Annie Drake and
Moises Solano who proceeded to show us ocean view lots
as well as existing properties on the Southern Pacific
coast. From that we were able to determine that we love
visiting the coast, but the central valley is the
climate we are seeking, and will suit Tim's gardening
hobby very well.
Through you and your associates we feel that we have a
welcoming group of professionals, as well as new friends
who have a genuine concern for our well being. We feel
you are doing everything you can to make our transition
easier by promptly answering our questions, and
directing us the appropriate resources.
Our home is being built in Heredia for our initial
"landing spot," and we will close on some land in San
Ramon in a few weeks. We look forward to building and
developing that land, and will turn to you and your team
to assist us in that project.
Thanks again for everything...and we look forward to
having you over for a fiesta as soon as we get settled
in Heredia!
Most Sincerely,
Tim & Maria Troyer

Alanas...
Hi Robert,
I am back in Canada and full of good impressions about
the opportunities in CR. I must thank you for all the
good things and ideas that you provided to me. Also the
most sincere regards to Carla who is now the "etalon
Costa Rica lady" for me. On a business side, I was
really thrilled by a 25 ha property option (225,000 + 8%
+ 80,000 for the road less the share of other owners
whom we did not consider + electricity). Of course, the
situation seems to be more complex than that, and I
believe that you will make the most rational decision.
In any case, I remain interested in similar options, and
I would like to maintain our good relationship. After
all, it is having friends like you that makes a new
country "livable". I hope to be back from my
Lithuania/Russia/Europe trip in September or October,
and then I could visit CR again. Although my family will
probably remain in Canada or Lithuania for awhile, I
still think that CR is worth of investment and effort
for the future.

Bill & Margeret Schiller...
Thank you so much for the wonderful and informative
tour. Your participation and attention to detail made
the trip a great experience. We especially want to thank
you for altering your schedule and taking us back to the
Riverside Condo Project. After a full day of looking at
other properties and dithering into the evening, we
decided to contact Riverside Condo and Josh ten Brink
came to the hotel after business hours and explained the
project to us. We were so impressed by him and his
project that we gave him a deposit! Per your suggestion,
we contacted Robert Shannon and he has agreed to help us
with purchasing the condo. He is a very warm, caring and
wonderful person who has given freely of himself in
calming our fears. My one regret is that we were
overtaken by time and Robert was not the one to
introduce us to Josh and facilitate the meeting. That
being said, with new friends like you and Robert, we
feel we have placed ourselves in good hands. We look
forward to becoming Costa Rica residents and good
friends.
Warmest Regards,
Bill & Margeret Schiller

Dear Robert,
Just a short note of thanks to you Robert.
Your effort, service and excellent follow through has
been fantastic. The week that you and your compares
(Gustavo and Annie) spent with me to introduce me to the
various properties that were available in the area
around Uvita was just what I and my wife needed in order
to make us feel comfortable with the concept of moving
to Costa Rica. The fact that you were able to answer my
questions about the intricacies and problems of moving
from one country to another was a very key factor in my
choosing to purchase the property I chose, from you and
Gustavo.
I did also appreciate the fact that while we were
looking at the properties, you simply gave me the facts
regarding the properties and did not spend a lot of time
putting the high pressure sale on us.
Sincerely;
Frank Yates

For the attention of: Costa Rica Retirement
Vacation Properties
I would like to express my gratitude and a very
heartfelt thanks to Robert Shannon of Costa Rica
Retirement Vacations Properties and also to the fine
team in the southern sector, the area of my interest.
I had initially communicated with Robert , first through
email and then by telephone. . By the time we came to
Costa Rica , I already had a "sense" and comfort level
that was both welcome and quite unexpected . It was very
clear that he was able to focus on needs , whether they
be for an investment property , or a home for present OR
future use .
Upon arrival , we drove directly to Robert's home . That
evening , we were to discuss areas , properties and
possibilities on our itinerary that would start the next
day . I listened intently for information , but was
taken by his enthusiasm. I received all the briefings
that I needed , but it was the warmth and friendliness
that night , that sent us happily on our real estate
tour .
Once in the Southern region, we met his associates who
had made our reservations for the visit. What we had
encountered with Robert , was now being continued .. A
better pair of hosts , you simply could not ask for!
Besides the graciousness to 2 foreigners , the
information we received on each property was invaluable
. We probably could have been told anything , but we
very quickly and intuitively understood that we were
being given possibilities with "pluses and minuses" and
from my experience , that is a rarity with all too many
brokers
As we left Costa Rica , it was not the 2 properties we
had purchased that we were thinking of ... rather it was
the wonderful people we had met in San Jose and then in
Dominical who made our trip so enjoyable and successful
Sincerely,
Dr Robert Sulkin

Costa Rica Retirement - Vacation Properties
Dear Robert,
I have recently bought a villa in Costa Rica based on
the assistance from Costa Rica Retirement - Vacation
Properties (CRRVP) associates. I would never have
purchased the villa without the assistance from CRRVP.
I was introduced to the country though your organization
and I was immediately made comfortable concerning my
dream of retiring in Costa Rica.
Your organization assisted me with the following:
Understanding how to move and retire in Costa Rica.
Financially, how I would achieve my goal of retiring in
Costa Rica.
Legal assistance with purchasing my villa.
Assistance with obtaining home insurance, telephone
service, cable service, electricity, water, a maid
services.
Assistance with setting up a bank account and setting up
a corporation. An overall good feeling that I was
receiving the best price for the purchase of my villa.
I am delighted with my villa and the assistance CRRVP

reference for your services. My dream would never have
come true if it wasn't for you. Thank you!
