C. CARBON CREDITS: This beautiful approximate 5,000 acre “carbon farm” is located near Puerto Limon in Costa Rica. It is a forest with over 95 identified species of trees, many waterfalls, and several rivers. It is a vital resource sustaining the environment. The oxygen produced can be sold as carbon credit off-sets. Internationally recognized carbon off-setting programs are an earth-friendly way for individuals and businesses to counter their unavoidable environmental footprint. A carbon footprint is the measure of greenhouse gases that individuals or businesses create, or units of carbon dioxide which are produced and measured in tons each year. The average individual produces 20 tons of carbon per year. Carbon pollutes the atmosphere and causes climate change. Oxygen produced by plants and which is particularly high in living forests, clean the air of carbon creating a market in which the oxygen is a product which can be sold. By purchasing carbon credits (oxygen from the forest), individuals or businesses can legally reduce their carbon footprint thereby off-setting their unavoidable emissions which pollute the environment. This off-set then allows the business to mitigate their pollution and avoid environmental taxes and penalties. One carbon credit is equal to one ton of carbon dioxide with it’s corresponding value of oxygen as the off-set. This jungle forest is ideal to set up your own carbon-credit off-setting business. Just certify the oxygen, maintain the forest, and sell the carbon credits.

D. RESPONSIBLE LOGGING AND REFORESTATION: This approx. 5,000 acre jungle forest contains over 95 identified species of trees of commercial grade wood. This wood can be harvested with an environmentally friendly, responsible planned approach complete with reforestation. This is done with one small area at a time and with government approval and permits. In a study done by a forestall engineer in 2002 it was certified that there was over $25,000,000.00 worth of commercial grade wood on this farm, as well as a study generated as to how to RESPONSIBLY harvest while preserving a healthy percentage of the growth over the years. That same study if applied today, nearly 14 years later, and using the current market value for wood, is estimated at nearly $50,000,000.00.

E. SPRING WATER: This 2,000 hectare forest contains many waterfalls and several rivers and drinkable spring water. Water is the commodity of the future. This water can be bottled and sold as spring mountain water. (With an approved plan and government permits.)
